Aimé Fernand David Césaire (; French:[ɛmefɛʁnɑ̃davidsezɛʁ]; 26 June 17 April ) was a Martiniquais poet, author, and politician. He was "one of the founders of the Négritude movement in Francophone literature" and coined the word négritude in French.
