Lolita Halfkenny entered into eternal peace Wednesday (Jan. 27, 2016) in Lawrenceville, Georgia, after a long, hard battle with cancer. A beloved mother, godmother, daughter, sister, friend, caregiver and mentor to so many, her beautiful spirit will illuminate our lives forever. Lolita, affectionately called Lola or Lo by relatives and family friends, was born to Juanita Hines Arnold of Columbus, Ohio, and the late Berton Halfkenny on Oct. 28, 1962, in New York, New York. Always a loving, sweet person, she will be surely missed by her family, her neighbors and her friends. Dawn Halfkenny is an American actress.[1][2][3] She is known fo her role as Angela Parks in the Bounce TV prime time soap opera, Saints & Sinners.
Life and career
[edit]Halfkenny was born in West Virginia and later moved to Atlanta in the late 2000s. She made her debut starring in the low-budget action comedy film Jack Squad (2009) and later began appearing in a number of Atlanta-filmed movies and television productions.[4] She made guest starring appearances in Atlanta, Survivor's Remorse, The Haves and the Have Nots and Tales.[5]
From 2016 to 2022, Halfkenny starred as Angela Parks in the Bounce TV prime time soap opera, Saints & Sinners.[6][7][8] She later guest-starred on Black Mafia Family and The Resident, and had the recurring roles in the BET+ crime drama series, The Family Business, and the Bounce TV comedy-drama, Johnson. She co-starred in the 2021 thriller film Karen, and in 2022 starred in the BET+ drama film, Bid for Love.[9] In 2023, she had supporting role in the BET+
