Billy Ray Moore, age 71, of 1922 Hanford Rd. passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a loving, sacrificial, friendly, servant-hearted man. He rarely thought of himself, because he was focused on the needs and wants of everyone else. He cherished his wife and adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a very strong faith and believed the Bible is the true Word of God. A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Gwendolyn Bryant Moore and son of the late William Franklin and Clara Jane Stigall Moore. Billy was a long distance truck driver with Smith Transfer, Hennis Freight Lines and later retiring from Roadway Transportation. He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn Bryant Moore of the home; sons, Dr. Keith Moore and wife Pam of Portland, Maine and Kevin Ray Moore of Graham; daughter, Angie Moore Moon and husband Kevin of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Adam James Ray Moon of Gibsonville, Jessica Moore of Nevada, Brittany Moore Salgado of NY, Caroline Moore of OH and Chelsy Moore Osborne of VA.; great grandchildren, Sebastien Moore Salgado and Adrian Moore Salgado; sister, Pat Moore Clement of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Thomas Wayne Johnson of Graham and

Thelma Sudderth Franklin, age 94, of Montezuma was called home by The Lord on April 9, 2011 after a brief illness.She was born September 15, 1916 in Newland, NC a daughter of the late Lloyd W. and Belle Pritchard Sudderth.She was raised in Montezuma, NC, graduated from Newland High School and attended Appalachian State Teachers College.She was married to Carter L.
