    Milan Okanović is an associate professor at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, where he focuses on research and development of the role of marketing in entrepreneurship, innovation, and startups. He has been a mentor to startup teams within the mentoring programs “Route2Launch” and “ReVenture,” is the author of over thirty scientific papers, and co-author of the book “Startups in Focus.” He was a co-founder of a startup company that developed technology to enhance virtual customer experiences and was part of the marketing and communications team in a tech company that created software and organizational solutions for candidate testing. He is engaged as a consultant for marketing communications and market research. He serves as the president of the Assembly of the Belgrade Science and Technology Park and is currently working on establishing and developing the Academic Startup Network.

    ‘The Awakening of Fruška Gora’ conference was held in the beautiful atmosphere of the Peace Chapel in Sremski Karlovci on Wednesday, 13 June. Mr Igor Mirović, President of the Provincial Government, presented infrastructural projects implemented by the Government of the Province on the territory of Fruška Gora Mountain, the oldest National Park in Serbia, while Mr Nemanja Milenković, CEO of the ‘Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture ‘ Foundation spoke about cultural programmes that are planned up to and during 2021.

    During the conference, plans for more accessible, visible and attractive Fruška Gora were presented. The conference was attended by the representatives of the Provincial Government, representatives of the cultural institutions and media, presidents of municipalities of Irig, Sremski Karlovci and Beočin and many public figures such as Nele Karajlić, Nenad Okanović; Dimitrije Banjac, Nikola Škorić and Jugoslav Krajnov, the actors of the ‘Državni posao’ TV show and others.
