Il nous a raconté les détails de son prochain projet de metteur en scène, l'adaptation du Goncourt 2013 : Au revoir là-haut, signé Pierre Lemaitre.
Albert Dupontel : J’ai fait l’adaptation en trois semaines, alors que c’est un pavé de 500 pages. Je l’ai retravaillé bien sûr, mais c’est venu très rapidement donc ce livre me parlait. Après est-ce qu’on va en faire un truc digeste, je ne sais pas. Il raconte comment deux vétérans rentrant de la première guerre mondiale montent une arnaque aux monuments aux morts. L’un d’eux n’a plus de visage… ça raconte beaucoup de choses, presque trop. Mais est-ce que le film va rendre ça comestible, ça c’est notre travail au jour le jour.
